I'm pleased to announce that my latest painting, " I'm pleased to announce that my latest painting, "Memento Mori" has been accepted into the 2022 NJ Arts Annual: Reemergence.

With the focus on my work having been around issues of disconnect, discordance and loss, the new painting is a perfect fit.

From the NJ State Museum's prospectus, "At the start of 2022, the world remains devastated by the COVID-19 pandemic, political and ideological polarization continues to divide Americans, and our collective reckoning with systemic racism remains critical to achieving the country’s promise. Artists, like most New Jerseyans, are taking steps to reemerge into an altered landscape. How has this change landscape manifested itself in artists’ practice? Do the works reflect hope, despair, resignation, something else? Have artists altered their style, worked with new materials, embraced technology? How has isolation and tentative reemergence been reflected in the works created during this period?" Images of the work to come. #njarts #NJStateMuseum #NJstatecouncilonthearts #njartscouncil

Don't be late! Spring ahead with the latest openin Don't be late! Spring ahead with the latest opening at the Watchung Arts Center, Opening Tomorrow!

Saturday, March 12

Before you go to sleep tonight, set your clocks ahead an hour so you won't be too fashionably late for the opening of Black & White to Magnificent Color!

Two years of the Covid pandemic has left us feeling like we are living through an endless winter where our eyes are tired of the long nights and empty trees. Cut off from each other and fearful, it is as if we have lost the colors of life. The intention of this exhibition is to bring back the hope and excitement, that this dark period is almost over, and soon we'll be surrounded by the magnificent colors of art and life again.
